Virginia. My ex-wife charged $9000.00 on a credit card since my divorce in 1996. The credit card company said the card was issued in 1992 as a joint account, yet I do not recall signing any credit card documents in 1992. She has since declared bankrutpcy. Am I liable for the credit card charges?

Virginia is not a community property state so, if you didn't sign, you aren't liable.
When did you ex last pay the orginal creditor?
How is this being reported on your credit reports?
