I might be able to help....You say some police and the city administrator are "on your side" - who are they and are they willing to sign affidavits for you? I would need independent verification from them before I could help.

Also, how do you think that signed affidavits from "some police and the city administrator" might help?? Clearly, their ONLY involvement would be as character witnesses (at best) since they do not have first-hand knowledge of the incident leading to the charge(s).

So, please, help us to understand what assistance you might be trying to offer this writer.

Hey, you never know....sometimes stories have a way of revealing themselves to you when you dig deeper. If the guy really is a jerk, the stories others who know the case tell will smoke him out.
