My response:

Ditto - personal accounts, business accounts and client Trust account.

And, you'll also notice that our writer, long after working hours are over, STILL hasn't come back to refute any of my allegations or the FACTS about her or her alleged situation.

So, Ladynred, what's your next "excuse" for our writer, hmmm?

This isn't the place to be judge and jury to anyone. Anyone who can offer good advice should. Anyone who is nasty, sarcastic, and judgemental should keep their opinions to themselves! No one has to come here and defend themselves.

IAAL - My current bank DOES return my cancelled checks - Bank of America - a VERY big bank as I'm sure you are aware. The old bank was Wachovia who was bought out by the scum-sucking FUSA.

I chose a bank that would cost me the LEAST in fees and still get some modicum of decent SERVICE - something that all the industries are getting worse and worse at, but banks are leading the pack.

As for Washington Mutual.. they're on Edcombs's hitlist of BAD lenders - wouldn't touch 'em with a mile-long pole !!!

MY RESPONSE: Yes, it is.

Anyone who can offer good advice should.

MY RESPONSE: We do - - each and every day.

Anyone who is nasty, sarcastic, and judgemental should keep their opinions to themselves!

MY RESPONSE: No, that's not how life works. Get some thicker skin.

No one has to come here and defend themselves.

MY RESPONSE: You're right. No one is forcing anybody. But, if you can't take the heat here, just imagine how bad it's going to be in litigation. You think it's tough here? Then, I've got news for you!

A lot of response in varying directions. Did not realize this would be live so I will add some info.

I paid 140 dollars for copies of checks showing payment had been made. However the encoding on the checks did not reflect the amount written. Continued to drill the bank to find the cause and they could not explain.

In the meantime the daycare has had severa problems with account accuracy. Many accounts showed arrears over 2 years old.

The policy is to give notice after 2 weeks delinquency.

I beleive I paid all that was due and question the accuracy of those records..... but my checks do not reflect ( in the encoding ) that the full amount was taken from my account.

I did this and the statements reflect the encoded amount.

I offered to pay the difference between the amount in the encoding and the amount that the check should have been but this offer was refused.

They insist that the entire amount was due. $3050 dollars

My stance is that something was deducted from my account and placed into theirs. Of course they are unable to provide me anything that reflects this.

They even got so rude as to insinuate that I had modified the copies of the checks.

Match up the check number with the check number and amount debited on your bank statement

I did this and the statements reflect the encoded amount."

Is this right:

You have copies (from the bank) of the checks made out to daycare during the disputed period

The amount on the copies reflect amount on bank statement (this is what your account was charged obviously)

Your check register reflects larger amounts than were deducted from your account (??)

This does sound "fishy"

Yeah, this story is not holding together real well. Didn't you notice over a 3 year period that you looked at those bank statements that an incorrect amount was being debited?

Please tell me where I can find this information about Washington Mutual. Our mortgage is with them and we've never had a problem (it's been about three years).

Thanks!
