I live in PA, I puchased the car in NY
I purchased a car a year ago, Cadillac SRX 7/10/07 in Queens NY at the time I did a car fax report and it showed no accidents or damages.
I have the report. Today, I was shopping for a smaller car, and offered my caddy in for trade, when the Honda dealer did a car fax report it showed my car has frame damage, and it was disclosed to the deal at auction, and due to this offered me a ridiculously low trade. The Queens dealer did not disclose this to me in any of my documentation. I am told by the Honda dealer that is not legal and that I can get my money back from the dealer.
From the first day I bought the car, I had trouble with the brakes, and rattling of the steering wheel on highway driving, and right rear end.
As I learned yesterday from the frame damage report, the right rear was damaged, and the side panel was replaced, apparently this was the cause of all the issues.
One night in Nov 2007 I was driving home, and the right rear end collapsed, and I needed to be towed to a dealer for repair. Had I been driving on the highway at the time I would most likely have died. Luckily, I was on a country road doing no more than 25.
The entire rear differential was broken, all bearings had to be replaced, and the rear differential was replaced. This should not happen on a 1 year old vehicle.
Also attached is the invoice for this warranty repair.
