What is the name of your state? NE
I have an outstanding credit card debt that has been sold to several CA's. None have been willing to work with me. The CA that has it now has accepted my payment terms but stated that the payments have to be made through a bank account and I must give them an account number. I have offered to wire or send cashier's check but they refuse. I do not want to open a bank account and give them the acct. number, do I have to do this?

No, they cannot force you to use your checking account. Stay off of the phone though and do everything through certified mail return receipt.
