What is the name of your state? Massachusetts
I purchaced a sofa and love seat which were delivered to my home on 11.15.03. They looked exactly like the ones we saw in the store, but the cushions on the ones delivered were awful. The floor models were very firm, which is what we liked about them, the delivered ones were VERY soft. The cushions were about eight inches thick, when sat on they would compress to about three inches.
Anyway, after calling the store to let them know this, they sent someone out to inspect the furniture. They agreed there was a problem and ordered new foam for the cushions. The new foam finally arrived last week and was put into the cushions. This was a vast improvement over the old stuff. However, now it is apparent there is a problem with the sofa itself. While the end cushions on the sofa are fine, the center one still sags into the sofa when sat on. Obviously there is a problem with the springs or something in the center on the sofa. This problem did not manifest itself earlier because the cushions were too soft to notice this.
The store has now refused to even come look at it and says "tough luck, the warranty is already up". Do I have any recourse here? My wife and I are by no means heavy people, and do not have children who could have caused this to happen.
Thanks for any replies.
