What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? nj

Scenario: Is it part of the Federal Labor Law or legal, after being hired to draw up a form for a delivery driver to sign, that states if they break something it gets deducted from their paycheck and if they don't sign and they break something it could lead to termination, disciplinary action or a civil suit?

Anything can lead to a termination, a fine or a civil suit. There's no protection in the law against being fired for just about anything, including breaking something or messing up something on the job. If an employee has signed the form, in other words, agreed to the terms of employment, then it makes it harder for them to receive unemployment benefits after they are fired or quit due to this happening to them, in other words, they were aware of what might happen to them if they did break something.

As for getting it deducted from their paycheck, federal labor law requires that a person be paid at least minimum wage for all the hours they actually work. Above this, the money can be deducted from their paycheck.
