What is the name of your state? PENNSYLVANIA

I received a speeding ticket last night and it was an odd situation, the officer thought i was drunk even though i had not been drinking and decided to give me the field test which i obviously passed. He decided to make my friends come out to get me to be safe and cite me for speeding. The thing I found odd was that he never made me sign my ticket which I have had to do every other time I have been pulled over..... Whats the deal all it said was "ISSUED TO DRIVER" where I was supposed to sign it.

Can I get off because of this? What does that mean?

In many states tickets for minor traffic infraction do not require a signature. You still must follow the procedures on the back of the ticket though.

THis means you got a ticket. If there is a warrant issued for an FTA, then you will probably be able to have that set aside for lack of due process.

And the ORDEAL of being arrested on the FTA (Failure to appear), having your vehicle towed, hiring an attorney, etc. to press the 'due process' issue will be about five or ten TIMES the cost of just handling the ticket properly!!!

Hey Jet,

Based on the newbies who seem to have found this forum and the quality of answers in the last hour, would you like to take a stab at what I'd like to do with those jumper cables????:D:D:D

Yes, I noticed it the day you changed it....I was just hoping it was a residual affect of the drugs :D

JETX,

I was trying to respond in a kind way. There are so many posts re: posters being "uncivil."

Yes, the costs are high but I was trying to give PD advice for once. ;)
