What is the name of your state? NJ

How long after the first meeting of creditors (none of them showed up) does the trustee give his decision about the Chapter 7 filing?

Creditors lose no rights by not appearing. They have 60 days from the 341 to file written objections. Few do. A week or so after that 60 days, you should receive your discharge.

Is there a court hearing for the discharge of the Chapter 7 filing, or is mail sent to the filer or his lawyer, indicating such action?

Thanks.
