What is the name of your state?Pennsylvania

I'm not sure if this is under the right category, sorry if not.

I need to find out some health information about my childs father. He has some sort of cancer, and I have not been able to get in contact with him to find out what type it is. I need to know so that my daughter can get the precautionary medical care she may need if it's a hereditary cancer. Is there a way to make this happen? I don't exactly want to go to court about it, can my family doctor somehow obtain the information? There's got to be a way...

Thank you in advance!

what do you mean you can't contact him? If you can't get hold of him how do you expect your doctor to get information?

have you asked any of his family about his medical condition?

I mean
that I can't talk to him. Because he won't return my phone calls. Because he's a selfish jerk who won't answer the question "What kind of cancer do you have so that your daughter can be screened?"
I don't know how the doctor would find out. Maybe doctors would be able to legally get this information without my daughter's father's consent.
He won't tell me what is wrong with him.

His family is equally unwilling/unable to provide details, whichever I don't know.

How does this help you answer the question?

It helps to learn what actions you have taken before giving you advice.
What makes you believe he may have cancer that can be passed on to his daughter? Do you know the name of his doctor?

The only option left is to file a lawsuit on behalf of your daughter to have her dad reveal his medical condition.
