What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kentucky
I visited a local dealership due to the Owner not returning neither of my 3 messages left for him regarding a service issue. I was shown where he was located and I heard him speaking to 3-4 individuals about my issue in an inappropriate manner. When I realized that Mr. X was speaking of me, I let my presence be known. I was appalled by this conversation and informed him of my presence. He had a look of shock on his face and then began to speak in a loud tone when he realized that I was Ms. X. I informed him of the inappropriate conversation and that he had not even attempted to contact me back. He stated "because I didn't want to have to deal with this" and stated that he believed his service manager about the scratch being old. When I questioned him about not even seeing the scratch, he reported that he didn't need to because he had known the service manager for 30 years. As I continued to address my issue, he got up from his seat, walked toward me with his hands up yelling "get your big butt out of here". I at this time felt threatened by his demeanor and body language and began walking towards the door; he continued yelling obscenities at me in front of his employees as I walked out the door. I could not believe that a business owner could act in this manner with a customer. What can be done???
