I am trying to find some information for my mom. After 35 years of marriage, my Dad has said that he wants out. Although she loves him dearly, all she has ever wanted was to make him happy. He is retired Air Force and receives a pension and disabilty pay from them. Mom would just like to know what all she is entitled to. And if he can be required to maintain medical insurance coverage on her.

Also, she needs an attorney that will work with her on payments. She only works part-time, and unfortunately, I am not in a position to help her financially right now. We live in Missouri and would be very greatful for any suggestions or help that we can get.

reply to 35 yr marriage

A.--She needs to find herself a good attorney, the kind that go for the jugular if necessary--B.--Think with her HEAD--not with her Heart---C.--She is entitled to alimony, roof over her head, medical coverage, pension plans--all these things need to be worked out through her attorney--she can work out payment with her attorney--after 35 yrs of marriage she can come out smelling like a rose--if she wants to--that's the question--The important step is the first step -- find the best divorce attorney in her city--before her husband does---I'm not an attorney--just been there and I had I known then what I do now I would have done things differently--This is not the time to be sentimental--It is time to get down and dirty
