What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

I am at the end of my tether, my ex keeps taking me to court costing me $1000s each time for frivolous reasons ( usually because he does not want to pay spousal and child support). If he keeps this up, I will be finanacially ruined. I never get awarded full costs, so I am wasting my son's education money. I am coming up to $50.000 for a simple divorce and post divorce actions. I only got divorced 1 yr ago, the final order in Feb, 2 weeks later, he sued for custody

I would like to know what I can do to stop this constantly happening. Can I sue him ( he makes alot of money)? ie harrassment, emotional stress, damages, loss of son's future education money etc. There has got to be something to make him stop. Money is his god

He never has any proof for any of his actions, his lawyers are obviously onto a good thing.

I would really appreciate some thoughts on this

This is not something that I would normally recommend, but one thing you could do, would be to fire your attorney and start representing yourself. If its his intent to bury you financially....then that would take all of the wind out of his sails.....and you would no longer be throwing away thousands every time he does this.

If his actions are truly frivolous....then there isn't as much danger in representing yourself as there might be with more serious issues. After as many times as you must have been to court, you also should have some idea of how to handle yourself as well.

The only other option would be to get your attorney to be more aggressive on the issue of legal fees.
