Can a men put a child up for adoption? Not to a stranger but to the mother. She would have sole custody of the child. If he don't know the child and has not lived with the child. Can he terminate his rights to be a father? In the State of Virginia.

No, A judge will not illigitamtize a child by relinquishing a fathers rights unless there is another man (a new husband) that is willing to adopt. In some extreme cases the court has terminated a fathers rights to visitation and custody, but still has ordered him to pay support.

Until that child is born, any and all decisions regarding the Mother and fetus are the womans decision. You can voice your opinion, but what she does with her body is strictly up to her..Whether that be having an abortion, or having the child.

The only protection that is 100% guarenteed is absenece. Once you choose to have sex with someone, the possibility of getting pregnant is always there. So there is your option.

I don't think that a women should bring a child in the world that she has trapped a man. It's already enough childern out here that the parent or parents don't want nor do they love. Why?? Women are so bent on having childern that they nor the person they sleep with can afford. And then hard working citizen in up taking care of them with welfare and other programs. If you know you already have children and the person you slepted with one night has children that you can't take care, why would you think he could help you take care of another child. Yes women can make the choice but, they need to get wise because Judges are asking seriouse questions now. They want women to take reasonably for their action as well. Richmond Virginia
