undefinedWhat is the name of your state? It's in Ontario, Canada.

My laptop broke.. and i got this man to repair it. The main problem i wanted fix was to fix my screen, which had dead pixels.
he said that.. he would fix the screen.. and didn't really do the job that he said he would.. he said he would fix the mega pixel.. and didn't.. he did make an estimate (which took him a day to find out the prices and everything) and said it would cost one thousand dollars. So, I said that is fine, fix it. However, when I got the laptop back.. he said he fixed it. However, i still see the dead pixels. He told me that he couldn't fix it because it's a surface area problem. It's permenant but it won't come back. Dumb as I am, I said.. oohhh okakyyyy.. and went back home. However, i thought, one or two pixels fine.. But.. IT WAS THE SAME THING. He didn't fix anything. Do I have a case? What would you suggest for me to do? Best buy (who would refund me the money), said that I need a detailed invoice. I called them and said that he didn't give me a detailed invoice. Do i have every right to get a full invoice? Thank you again! SORRY for the long story hehe.

THANK YOU!

I think i do have a case.. he did say that he would do it.. but didn't do the job.. i don't really understand the language of law.. but do you think i have a case by looking at the ontario repair and storage act.. at the following website?!

My response:

I love a Canadian who can answer their own questions!

But, apparently, Canada doesn't teach geography in their schools. Um, hello! This is the United States, lady. You know, it's the big country right below yours. And, this site is for United States law, only. We wouldn't have found the "ontario repair and storage act" - - and, do you know why? That's right - - it's because this site is for U.S. LAW ONLY!

This is not a reply to my fellow Canadian but to the individual that responded to their inquiry.

I was impressed with this forum until I read your responses with your digs about Canada. I think your dig about not teaching geography in Canadian schools was quite cute considering if YOU had taken geography in school you would know that the land mass of Canada is larger than the US. The other interesting fact on geography came from an american newscast where they brought up the shocking truth that given an atlas of the United States, ten percent of the American population could not point out their state or town of birth. We had quite a good laugh over that one mainly because with most of the interaction we have had with Americans we can believe it fully. How does it feel to be an American minority (10%). Cheers mate.

My response:

How does it feel to be a person in the majority of Canadians who can't read? Did I say that the United States was bigger than Canada's land mass? No. I said "it's that big country below yours."

How does it feel to you to be in the majority of Canadians who can't point out there own mother? Here's a clue - - yours is the one with the string hanging down between her legs.

Idiot Canadian!

Wow, I'm really shocked by this thread, I had expected there to be some set rules or moderation when it comes to personal and/or offensive attacks. :(

**A: I'm not shocked, since I have been here for many years and expect idiots who can't read or understand geography to post every now and then.

I felt the same way when IAAL replied to my post. We got over it anyways and I was glad that I got an honest reply (except for idoit calling). :)

My response:

Why? Are you tender? Did we upset your sense of sensibilities?

At least "r2lm" has thicker skin than you, and can get in there and duke it out like the rest of us!

Get out if you can't take it, and go read a nursery rhyme.

Why duke it out, when you can just try and act civilized instead? LOL

It doesn't really matter if you're rude or not, but people should and will think alot less of you. I thought most of you were well informed and bright, but resorting to childish name calling and such is pathetic.... I guess after 30,000 posts, you become "hardened" and can take it, right?

Do you really think I care what you, or anyone, "think" of me?

Blow me.
