My boss treats me very different from the other employees in our office.
Example after being employed 18 months I was asked for a Dr.s excuse for an absence to see a Dr. No one else in the office has ever been asked for one. The reason I was given for asking is that he used to have Betsy bring one in when see had a Drs appt. However, the other 2 employees said they had never been asked for one. one of them has been there several years. Also, Betsy & I are white and the others are black. He also has loud outburst in front of everybody if I make a minor mistake, he does this in front of everyone & tries to make me look stupid, if I reply by showing him the mistake wasn't mine , but someonelse in the office he then finds a way to blame it on me anyway. All the other employees see this and feel the same way I do. Another example he announced that we were going to start having lunch out on employee birthdays, we did this for the black employees, but not the whites and he even wished me a happy birthday in front of everyone but didn't mention going anywhere. Is there a law that prohibits employees from cruel humiliation in front of other employees when he does this for no one else? Thanks
