What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio
Hello
I read through some of the other threads first to see if my type of question had already been answered. It has and it hasn't.
I am currently seeking modification of a child support order (mother and father were unmarried). Amount was reduced at first due to oblgior submitting papers saying he only made $7,300 per year. They determined he could make $14, 000 a year and in doing so reduced ther previous order amount.
I have had a reduction in salary and an increase in medical insurance payments which is why I sought the modification in the first place.
The thing is, I know he is lying.
Last round of modification he said he owned a landscaping business that had only made $14, 000. yet he had recently purchased a new home and new vehicle.
I have proof through the Secretary of State's web site for my state that he is a Pastor (has been since 1998) and is named as Pastor and President of a something called Universal Body of Christ Ministries, Inc. whose license/certification ends in 2010.
He never, ever mentions this ministry when we are required to submit documents and in the past I was unsure as to how to find proof of this 'Inc'.
Is this evidence enough or will I have to find harder proof?
I have the charter/registration number for the business, the year he became licensed as a Pastor and that it is still listed as active by the state.
It's just year after year of fraudulent documents and lies (at last administrative hearing he presented a IRS tax form of this landscaping business and denied any knowledge of any ministry). His brother is listed as Vice-President.
I asked this elsewhere and they said that this may not be enough because he can claim he is an unpaid volunteer. Yet I loaned him some money a long time ago and he deposited the money into the account of this ministry.

Sorry it's so long. Thank you.

No I'm not saying he is (although looking at the house in his name and the car he 'seems' as if he is).
I just do not understand why I am obligated to tell the truth and present true and accurate documents and disclose all my information and he is not.
He just seems very eager to keep this ministry on the quiet.
I ended up having to sue him in small claims for the money he deposited into that ministry's account.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy to loan money to an ex who had already shown that he wouldn't pay money to you that he owed...

He got a pastoral license over the internet and you think he is making money from it? SERIOUSLY? Good grief. Not happening.

Ah, I didn't know you could receive it over the internet. It listed a church in the city, but he is not affiliated with this church.
The unfortunate thing is that he has lied about so many other things like denying he had other children, telling the mediator that he was unable to get access to the children, telling her he wanted supervised visits because he didn't want me to say anything bad (I have never said anything bad about him, in fact they still include him on their Santa Claus wish list), yet he has always had my address, phone number, my work number, work information, etc., but never sees his children. Times were set up, but he never got in contact, never followed up, never did anything.
I just want a fair assessment in that the same way I provide all information as requested, so should he, even if he doesn't make any money.

If this were an administrative review and you are within time, you can object and throw it into court. Throwing it into court will allow you to do full discovery. If this were a court decision, then you missed your opportunity to do full discovery.

And yes you can get a pastoral license over the internet. I think it is $25 and that allows you to perform wedding in the state of Ohio.

No this has not yet reached the courts and we await the date of the administrative hearing. I will object at the appropriate time.
Thanks, Ohiogal.
