What is the name of your state?missouri
I dont mean to keep posting on irrelavent things, i am just beginning my legal classes to become a paralegal so I am just inquisitive. If a mother and father are not married when a child is born, which is more and more common, if their is no court ordered visitation does the custodial parent have to allow the non-custodial parent visitation. I know they both SHOULD have the same rights to parental relationship but do they?
Thank you

Good for you now you can learn the art of research as that question has been answered a thousand times on here. So your first homework assignment read some post and come back here and answer your own question. It's easy all the answers are right here and have been answered in the last week. :D

Generally, people retain more when they have to do the work to find the answer. That's why it's wise to let kids do their own homework instead of doing it for them. I think that's the point that people are trying to make.

If you are going to a quality school you have the tools to find this answer out for one. For two hopefully you are being taught to read, as was pointed out this site tell you to search the issue before asking a question. Please do not insult us and tell us you can not find the answers to these questions that you have been asking. There is post after post about these issues.

Maybe you should complain to all the other people who ask the same questions over and over again. I am not insulting anyone, perhaps you should read....I wasnt the first one to throw an insult. I did not find enough replies regarding Missouri rules, and I was curious, also part of our weekly assignments are to ACTIVELY post on legal websites. Now being that I have no LEGAL experience, I am posting questions rather than answers. Professional does not mean rude.

I'll give you a hint - this is where you would start:

Think about what needs to happen for the above to be true. And then search for MO statutes governing these sorts of issues - I can guarantee it's out there if not on this site. Consider looking at findlaw as well.

And the point of my comment about not doing homework for kids is that you aren't a kid. All the more reason not to expect others to do your homework for you. So go ponder the above point.

First off we DO complain to the others that come and ask the same question!!
Secondly the 'insult' you got was on the money.
And Thirdly, I came here without legal experience either three years ago, but by READING and RESEARCHING I learned things on my own.... AND lastly... I too am going to school to be a paralegal and if your lesson is to post questions to get answers to legal questions instead of doing the research yourself... your school SUCKS!

My lessons are not about getting answers to legal question, because as you know, you cannot give legal advice or practice law, our assignment was to get a feel for the legal needs of society. Get a feel for people's feelings about that, and the law. See how we are WELCOMED or not WELCOMED, as students and as inquirers. If I insulted you it was completely by accident, and I apologize. the reason I said that was because all of have our ideas of what is right and what is wrong, regardles of the law. Being a paralegal someone may come to you with their preconceived notions of the law, aren't you intrigued to know where and how they got them? Sorry for inconveniencing you and trying to pick everyone's brain. Research is not the part of my lesson I am trying to expand upon by posting here. I knew the answer before I asked. I was looking for interaction, feeling, and opinion.. I got them here. Everyone has said that being a law student I should have available those answers to me, and I do. I succeeded in my assignment and believe I will receive a fabulous grade..THANK YOU SO MUCH....
