I knew the answer before I asked.

If this:

I know they both SHOULD have the same rights to parental relationship but do they?

was part of the answer you already knew, you may want to delve more deeply. Because it tain't completely correct.

I've been on this site for 2 1/2 years. I've answered this question myself, extensively. You can do a search on my name.

You can also research the Missouri statutes to find the answer you need.

So, in your other post where you said...
"I did search, I didnt find what I was looking for. The other answers were not satisfactory to what I wanted to know."

you lied? If you knew the answers to your questions and were simply wanting to see what feedback you would get AGAIN you would of searched these forums. Boy, the attorney you work under will be proud! Better search for a defense attorney, they might appreciate your lying a bit better!

SO, you had an answer but an incorrect one? Do you even know the difference between the truth and a lie? That's pretty important when working in the legal field.

Maybe because Ken Jennings lost last night after 74 shows, he blew it on 2 daily doubles and bet too much on them and missed final jeopardy, I knew the answer, :D

The Missouri statues governing child custody, visitation and support havent been revised in a few years. The statutes ARE current. Replies made in concern to Missouri, based on the Missouri statutes therefore still apply, even if the replies are older than August 28,2004 (the last revision of the RSMo as a whole unit).

Are you really THIS STUPID? The law isn't about opinions or ideas... they are about statutes and RULES. MY god.. how did you even get into college in the first place... I thought you had to pass High School first!!

Listen this is not complicated...I wasnt looking for incorrect or correct, I was focusing on the ideas and theories of other people, viewpoints, past experiences, I was focing on Respond not React. I was focusing on the replies from other students, legal professionals, law lovers, etc.

HEY, could we all calm down and grow up please! Our assignment, whether good or bad, was to find the misconceptions people have about the law. How many really know the law and how many think they know about the law. I understand that statutes and rules are what the law is about but its not what this assignment is about. Furthermore, I am a straight A student I graduated from highschool with honors and am on the Dean's List. THIS ASSIGNMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY KNOWLEDGE, it's a completely social assignment. Why must you continue to get so bent out of shape?

And honestly m_stapp... you were given the correct answers.

You have to search to find what you're looking for. It's right there in the statutes. Chapter 452.

Your original question wasn't worded to be interested in ideas or theories. It asked a direct question, for which you received direct responses.

"If a mother and father are not married when a child is born, which is more and more common, if their is no court ordered visitation does the custodial parent have to allow the non-custodial parent visitation. I know they both SHOULD have the same rights to parental relationship but do they?"

That was asking for a direct answer, not opinions.

You weren't GIVEN a direct answer, because you've made your reason for being here known. You're in school and researching. The people on here help those who are actually facing these situations, not some hypothetical posed to you by your Civil Lit. teacher or something.

I have, however, told you where to look to find your answers. In the Statutes for Missouri. Even told you what chapter to look in.

The rest is up to you.

My lessons are not about getting answers to legal question,
Then you missed the point of this forum, nor did you disclose in all your 4 threads, your intent. You should have disclosed your intent, asked your questions, not misrepresent yourself and been open to the learned advice. Instead you started flinging insults because you were appropriately admonished. You never asked questions about feelings, that is not the purpose of this site. Watch the movie, "Paper Chase"
