What is the name of your state? California
My roommate was recently featured in a story in a local small newspaper. She agreed to do the story. Her name and picture appeared in the story. Less than a week later, she was angry when she was watching a late night talk show and saw her picture being shown on national television. Not only that, the host of the show made a remark that was in bad taste. My question is this: I know you have to sign a waiver to agree to have your picture, likeness, name, etc. on television. She never signed anything and did not give her permission for the picture to be used in that manor. Does she have a right to sue and whom should she sue?
Thank you,
