What is the name of your state? Texas

I sent the following e-mail to all the private event directors that work at my company:
------------------
This is a little warning for any future brides you might refer to XYZ's
Bakery for their wedding cake.
I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!

I spent the first 30 minutes of my wedding reception blasting their
"emergency" phone number. NO CALL BACK!!!
I ordered 2 sheets cakes and they sent me one. They decided to combine the two sheet cakes into one. Because of that poor decision, I did not have
enough cake for my guest. #2. I ordered a replica of a cake they had at
the bridal show and in their showroom and they decided to spice up my cake
with all this extra decor. IT LOOKED HIDEOUS! Bride's should get the cake
they requested, it should not be the choice of the baker to change it up.
To accommodate my frustration, they are going to refund my credit card a
whole 10% of the cost. That is no where worth the frustration and
embarrassment I felt for having that hideous cake displayed at my wedding.

I'm not sure if this is a vendor on your recommendation list to brides, but
if they are, be careful! A bride could easily take their frustration out
on the person who made the referral.
I could have had a better cake made at Tom Thumb.

STAY AWAY FROM XYZ'S BAKERY!!!!!
------------------
I guess one of the private event directors forwarded this to the bakery owner. She contacted my HR dept and VP of Customer Relations. Here is the e-mail she sent them:
------------------
I wanted you to be aware of this spam email sent out by one of your employees through your coporate email account that disparages my company. I am considering legal action against this person and wanted you to be aware of this situation.
I would like to discuss this with you.
------------------
Is this a legitimate case? Should I start looking for a lawyer?

Is it a libel case?

Yes.

Is it winnable?

Depends on the judge. Truth is an absolute defense so if everything happened as you wrote and you can prove it, then hey can sue all they want but they won't prevail.

While they may sue you and not win, if your company has a policy about the use of company resources such as Email, for private use, you could be terminated for cause. If that is the case, who is the winner in the end?

I don’t see anything libelous in your email. You merely expressed your opinion based upon your personal experience. Good luck! :)
