The order says that the children may contact either parent anytime they wish. Since they've been here, they've asked every day to call their mom, but when they are with her I never get phone calls.

We purchased a cell phone for them back in November of last year. I put $100 worth of minutes on it and they managed to use it all up in less than 2 weeks calling me every chance they got. I can't afford to keep that up, especially since Mom is so controlling - the kids felt that they had to hide the phone from her.

Osmosis, how old are your children ? If they are old enough, just add a cell phone line to your plan and give them the additional phone, most cellphone providers offer "unlimited mobile to mobile" for a few extra dollars a month - or even included with a plan - , that way you could talk to your children any time you want and it would only cost you $ 10 a month more on your cell phone plan for the extra line. That's a lot cheaper than refilling a prepaid cell phone !! :) I wish you all the luck in the world !!

The kids are 10, 6 & 5. I got them one of those Firefly phones for kids because you can set it up so that they can only send and receive calls from numbers that are already programmed into their phone with a password protection. Unfortunately the phone itself was $70 and then another $100 for minutes. I plan on getting a regular cell phone in the next few months, so I may just do as you suggested.

Thank you for your support! :D
