What is the name of your state?MASS.. Will my probation officer violate me for a false positive urine test do to supplements such as velarian root or kava. How about Tylenol Pm.... I can't sleep, but if I violate I'm looking at 6-8 years..... Don't know if I should ask my P.O. too many questions right off the bat.

What did you test positive for?

I haven't tested positive for anything. But I want to be sure it's O.K. before I have a cup of kava tea. I've heard you can test positive from poppy seeds, advil, cold meds... Can probation distinguish between these things and standard street drugs? (i.e. opiates, marijuana, cocaine etc.)

You'll have to ask what they use for their drug testing. Presumably they use a quick test of some kind (such as a Nik kit) and then, if they get a positive test, they send the sample to a lab for analysis.

The items you mention should not reesult in a positive test for ANYTHING. If you are trying to pre-arrange your excuses, it won't work. Most the rumored things that will result in a false positive are just that - rumors.

Since I doubt you chug specialty teas or swill cold medicine, I doubt this will be an issue.

not to mention that you would have to eat over 1 pound of poppy seeds to have a false positive...
