I had recently been in an accident where I blew a 148 and a passenger was injured. I am 20 years old and no one wants to sue me for the accident but I am wondering exactly what punushments/fines can be made against me, and if I should get a lawyer. I had a mip when I was 17 for drinking and my criminal and driving record is clean. Please tell me. Some say not to worry about it and others say that I"m going to be screwed.

I am not sure what state you are in however you really need a lawyer. You also should at least know what the charges are against you. You can go on the internet and read the state codes for your charges and see what the minimum and maximum penalties are. In addition you say that no one is suing you but do you know that for sure. Regardless of that issue it is important that you get a lawyer for the criminal proceedings.

thanks jimmy

Thank you jimmy but I had court allready. I didn't get a lawyer and I was screwed on my record but got off fairly easy with a plea with the prosecuter. I should have requested a deffered sentece but I didn't recieve enough info about it to make it worth while. Ignorance sucks. And being young and dumb is expensive. But I I had 330 in fines, 3 year probation, 90 days suspention, 120 day jail, 118 dismissed, and 2 were allready served, And finnaly A alcohol evaulation was requested. Thanks and I hope this will help any one else in Wyoming with the same charges.
