I am in Calif. and am wanting to know how to do a federal lawsuit involving failure of due process and I also want to know what DA's responsibilities are when a family court case involves domestic violence.
How can I also get info on suing a lawyer for frauding a document and also for charging mysterious fees and abandoning their client?
Also, I cannot afford a lawyer so please do not suggest I get one, even a PrePaid lawyer since I have already tried that route.

My response:

Well, since you don't want an attorney, and since we're not going to put you through Stanford Law School (my Alma Mater), all I, or anyone, can suggest is that you find a law school library and start studying.

Any long trek begins with the first footstep.

Good luck to you.

on not paying lawers

Um, I don't think so.
I disagree and believe that justice should not have to be "bought". Many of us cannot afford lawyers and do not qualify for legal aid. So I guess that means that we should not find justice in the courts? Whatever happens happens? People can do to us whatever they want because we can't afford lawyers?
I have already studied a lot in law libraries, etc. in my own court case. I'm busy pursuing another profession. I have lost enough money in the past paying lawyers who have ripped me off in one way or another... I would not join the ranks of lawyers.
Family court reform is the answer. Not paying into such a closed system that favors whoever has the most money to spend.
At times I get responses from people that are actually helpful...

as a recent pro se litigant, I don't understand what it is you wish the contributors of this board to offer you. IAAL offered you his advice and best wishes and for some reason you took it the wrong way.... I learned the hard way that an educated person can go far and succeed in the courtroom, however, when up against an opponent with unlimited funds, there comes a breaking point when not having a lawyer becomes futile (unless
one is able to quit their job and family and concentrate 100% on the matters at issue). Good luck pal finding any additional help on this website with your attitude.

federal lawsuit comment

FYI: there's nothing wrong with my attitude and I don't agree with you and will not take the time to comment in more detail to you. I'm too busy.

that's just how this site is!

msblusuz-this site is very pro lawyer-that's just the way it is here. Shop around for a lawyer that gives the first consultation free-there are many out there-talk to as many as you need to. Then do your research.
You didn't give a lot of details about your situation so I don't want to comment on that or what you are looking for, exactly.
In our situation, although sounds like it may be quite different than yours-we met with a lawyer-had him draw up papers for us-(that cost 500$)0but we went into court Pro Se-and won! But this was over custody/visitation issues and his ex wanting more child support (DENIED!).
It can be done-but get some good advice first!
hope this helps in some way?
