What is the name of your state? CA

I was arrested for drunk driving on saturday night after driving wildly through a field. I had pulled over to look at my tires because two of them had blown and a cop pulled into the parking lot i was at. apparently a witness had called the cops and he was sent to find me. i was sitting on the curb when he got there and the next thing i remember was the field sobriety test. i told him there was know use when he started to make me walk in a straight line. he then arrested me and read me my rights. we talked for a long time while waiting for the breathalizer, i believe about an hour or two. when the brathalizer got there i blew a .19 . they took note of this, gave me some papers and then called my parents. my parents did not answer and a friend called my cell phone. the cop picked it up and arranged for my friend to come get me. wasnt he supposed to take me to jail, or will i be going after my court date. im 19 years old and this is my first "officially documented" run in with the police, never even had a ticket. what are the likely penalties coming my way?

Well reading your post I would say that being our first run in with the law you will be treated fairly. I serious doubt jail time will be in the equasion. Possibly other options such as community service or a deversion program. The issue of being under age would be a seperate issue. but still I would not worry to much about it. I think what ever they decided to do, you have learned an in portant lesten...am I wright?

I could not help but pick up on something while reading youre thread. Is their a underlying problem? Just from my point of view, I think there is somthing of inportance that is bothering you and causing you to have a stressful episode in your life right now. If i am wrong then good. But I Do hope you can get this issue worked out. We all mistakes, Lets learn and get throught them. Take care.

A suspension of your license, fines, alcohol treatment, and possibly restitution for the cost of the officer's time.

Specifically what the fines might be depends on the specific code sections you are charged with violating.

And since you are under 21, the license suspension is almost a certainty.
