What is the name of your state? Texas

I was in an accident yesterday night where I lost control of my car, went over the curb and into a guard rail of a highway. A police officer pulled me over and took me to jail for DWI. I got my car out of impound. My question is, if I file a claim w/Progressive saying that something was on the road or that it was wet and I lost control, are they going to cover this? If so, will they run my scan my record? I haven't been convicted yet. Also, what kind of questions will they ask when I file for a claim? If they ask me if I were drinking or if there was a police report, what is the best thing to say? I thought about saying, I am pending a court hearing for this and cannot say until it is over?

you have collision coverage, right? you make the claim and your carrier will pay to fix your car. your rates will go up. being dwi or not makes no difference on paying for the repairs of your car.

now if you are convicted of DWI, you may lose your license for a period of time. when it is reinstated, your rates again will sky-rocket.

Seems what was on the road and wet and lost control was you, ballgum, yes? As stephen says, your insurance coverage is fully in force for intoxication and various other kinds of stupidity or inattention or recklessness -- though it will be calculated in your rates with this or your next high-risk company.

I hope the progressive adjusters see this posting and compare the story you tell them with the story here.

Have you ever heard of INSURANCE FRAUD?

Tell the truth!

You have some nerve!!!! Take it like a man/woman and pay for your own mistake....DRINKING AND DRIVING

BTW since you were arrested for DWI they will most likely (HOPEFULLY :p ) ask for the police report before processing the claim anyway. You don't honestly think you deserve to be compensated for your own negligence.....do you?

The purpose of liability insurance is to cover the cost to others of one's negligence. Collision insurance likewise covers the cost to one's vehicle, regardless of negligence.

All due respect, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of auto insurance. As did OP in wondering if he would have to lie to invoke the coverage.
