dwi, accident, being sued - help

What is the name of your state?california
I am asking this question for a friend. She was in a car accident which was her fault. She and the other person she
hit were life flighted to the hospital. She is being sued by
that person, the Dr. for payment, hospital for payment and
others. The question is: her parents died and she has a trust
a house and a car will be put in her name and she wants to
know if there is anyway she can keep these things or will
she loose them. If anyone could help that would be great. Thank you

I don't think the question would have even been asked if driver had Nationwide on her side.
