What is the name of your state? PA
My husband is in a service industry in which he uses his own car to travel from business to business servicing the equipment of his employer. It is necessary for him to carry some tools and parts with him which are kept in the car. The company has asked that the service technicians change their car insurance policy to include them as "additional insured". They are concerned that if something happens to the vehicle, they want to be reimbursed for the cost of these. I feel that this should be a company expense and not something we have to pay for. I have a few points on this matter:
(1) parts are also kept in our basement - wouldn't we need to have homeowner's insurance covering them too?
(2) shouldn't their own insurance cover this and, if not, shouldn't they be purchasing?
I'd appreciate some advice on how this should be handled. Thank you! Judy

This may be irrelevant coming from someone uneducated in the law system, but that sounds rediculous. They're in essence docking your husband's pay for no legitimate reason.
