employers don't follow w.c.doc restrictions

What is the name of your state?north carolina My employer after getting my w.c. doc restrictions of light duty only which included no walking for longer than 10 min in a hr. and no pushing or pulling over 10pds decided the very next day to the opposite in which i notified the w.c. doc the next day and he requested a mri of my lower back which i had 2 bulging disk and surgery maybe required.Since my employer didn't follow his directions could they also be liable

They might be! If your w/c doctor gave you restrictions for work and they can not provide work for you with these restrictions and are wanting you, to do things that are not with in these restrictions it seems they are in the wrong. If you do not have a w/c attorney, it might be a good idea to call and speak with one.You can also call the labor board in your area and they can give you any information you need concerning the w/c laws in your state.Good thing that you called the doctor and let him know. Good luck
