Would that not be specified in the custody arrangement? I know that it is in mine. Do you have a civil enough relationship with your ex to work out a time that suits you both?

If it is not specified in the order (which from your post it would seem not to be) I would suggest getting it worked out and having the order modified to list specific times -- these kind of general orders are so open to interpretation that 99% of the time it leads to much hate and discontent down the road. If the relationship between the parents is amicable perhaps they can agree between themselves as to the specific times and then submit a petition for the modification to be made to the order (it MUST be legally modified to be upheld in court if things become an issue later) but if they (parents) are not amicable then you (I am assuming you are one of the parents) need to petition the court for a more specific explanation to be entered into the order so as to avoid confusion or argument over the time issue.....

Ours state fr"From the time the child's school is released on Friday until it resumes on Monday. If the Friday is proceeded by a school holiday, we get the child on the day school is released until it resumes...same if the weekend is followed by a holiday." Also, my husband gets the child on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday of each month. Different than EOW because a few months have 3 Fridays instead of only 2. Good luck!
