What is the name of your state? Arkansas

In our divorce agreement, it says neither of us may cohabitate with someone of the opposite sex when the child is in the home with them. We do joint custody, my daughter is with me for two weeks, then her dad for two weeks, etc. He has his girlfriend spend the nite with him, sharing room and bed, when our daughter is with him. What are my options?

I travel to Europe frequently with my daughter (same last name) it has never been an issue. However she got her initial passport prior to our splitting up so that probably makes a difference. However I have been able to renew it twice without his signature. Again though, both renewal times were pre 9/11 so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I think though that what everyone is forgetting is that the rules for cruises are different than the rules for other kinds of international travel.

The risk isn't that they won't be allowed to embark on the cruise. The risk is that they won't be allowed to disembark at a specific port of call. You can have a whole lot of fun on a cruise even if it happens that you can't disembark at one particular port of call.

Plus, my experience with Carnival Cruise Lines (and I believe that is the one we are talking about) is that documentation isn't needed at ANY of the ports of call....as far as I can remember.

So probably what is needed here is some very pointed questions to the cruise line about what is required for the various ports of call.

You can file for contempt since it is spelled out in the court order that father cannot cohabitate. However, overnight guests are not always considered the same as cohabitants. Be prepared to explain to the judge why an occasional overnight guest is detrimental to your child. ie; is child subjected to adult material or observations etc?

PS Be prepared to live up to the same standards if/when you find that special 'somebody'.
