Having multiple sex partners while the kid is with you isn't likely to endear you to the judge, that's for sure. More than that, I'd be concerned about her letting your employer (the college) know that you have a habit of sleeping with students. While they may be of age, most schools/colleges/universities have policies that that stronly discourage those sorts of relationships.

Hey bucky what college do you goto? I want to move there!! Make sure you wear protection, you don't want to deal with this with another woman as well.

I figure that's what the mom's detective boy toy is going to bring up in court.
As far as my ex letting the college know I sleep with students, I'm sure she will. After all... she was one of them. She came to me and told me she liked me. I informed her I was married and she says "so what... I'm not jealous"

The college is well aware of my social life. I was told not to sleep with MY students and I don't. We have a policy about that because a professor has a position of power over his students and can use that as leverage. But my students account for less than 2% of the student population. I'm not actively pursuing the other 98%, we just seem to hook up.

hey tcpmp, I attend a pretty well known University in Southern California, but I think what we're discussing here, is the college where I work.
It's a Junior College in my area. I've never seen anything like it, I'm only human, and these girls just pursue you to the end.
Sounds like you would like it.

Yeah, human with no self control, by the sounds of it.

Wow...

Hi Buck,
I am sorry you are going through this, and I completely understand how you accidentally involved your son. The criticism was unwarranted. My kids tell me stuff without me even asking them (I usually don't want to know what my ex is saying about me, but I hear it anyway.) I take great care to not slam their dad around them, and it shows. Now that they are 13 and 10, they know who makes the sacrifices and who doesn't-I don't need to tell them.

I will send good vibes your way...and yes, you were an idiot to get involved with her, but I was an idiot to marry my ex, too. I should have gotten a clue when he became a Jehovah's Witness and left then, but I was so dumb I had another kid with him! (I don't regret having my son AT ALL, just realize how dumb I was!)

Take care,
Steph

Okay, so you were married when you two hooked up? If that was the case, how can you even bad mouth her for being involved with a married man...you were one of them!

sounds just like a sexual preditor. I sincerely hope someone named bubba with a sawed off shotgun finds you messing with his daughter.

You're a disgusting little maggot.

And most kids do - that doesn't mean their parents need to further involve them. Dad could have just as easily simply gone to the courthouse to find out if anything was filed. Instead he chose to drive a 3yo and ask if that's where he went with Mommy. That's where the line was crossed, IMO.

And Bucky - your employer may not care now if you get involved with students. Wait until one either files a complaint against you OR turns up pregnant and names Prof Bucky as the babydaddy. You may find a very different opinion from the administration then. I've been involved in academic circles at several universities, and witnessed the aftermath. Not pretty, and your head will be on the chopping block, tenure or not - find your jollies elsewhere.

my head is already on the chopping block, and not at my work

I have a heartless ex girlfriend that has systematically destroyed me for the last year.

Cheated on me, lied to me, had me sign for a car when she had no intention of staying with me, destroyed me financially, has an adultering detective on my @ss, and now wants to take the only thing I have left... my son. I have aged twenty years in the last twelve months..
All because she wants 25% of my paycheck for the next fifteen or sixteen years.

I feel as if I am fighting for my life here, and will fight to death, no matter how ugly this gets.
