hello i have a small question.....i just found out my ex recently quit his job and does not have a new one lined up he also has messed up a new truck and can no longer drive it and also has a 2nd offence dui charge and has no licience to drive with to get a job....so he is ordered by the courts to pay $357 a month support what will happen if he does not get a job....will the courts find out and will he be made to pay this support?

also he is orderd to keep health coverage as well

Well, once he gets behind, you file contempt of court. As long as you have a valid court order, he has to pay or go into arrears.

He is ordered to keep health coverage, but without a job that supplies health coverage, this could be a problem. It is also a contempt charge, but the court will very likely not make him buy health care on his own. You may want to cover the child and file for a support modification and see if a judge will increase the support to cover some of your health insurance costs.

Until he is late with support by 30 days, you cannot file a contempt charge.
