Why are you hiding the adoption from YOUR CHILD? Lying implies that adopted is less OK than being Bio. Why lie, in this day and age adoption is supposed to be discussed openly and no longer need to be hidden from one's adoptive child.

I noted he was adopted because I was unsure whether that would make a difference when going to court. Unfortunately its very easy on the internet for people to misconstrue and think the worst. My adoption did not change my feelings for him and its never made him my son any more or less. I don't need a piece of paper to know what he means to me or I to him. Honestly I never thought I would get divorced from his mother but I'm thankful that I did adopt him because it appears that doing so should prevent her from doing what I feared she might do and that is keeping him away from me.

File for contempt in the same court that issued the visitation order. You can't do so until she actually violates the order. Request makeup time and court costs.

Thank you! Will do! I appreciate the help and info.

Unfortunately this thread has been filled with negativity and cynicism. I had to block a few posters.
