I recently had knee surgery for a torn tendon. I had the option of either conventional surgery or ostiosocpic surgery. The doctor at the hospital failed to inform me that if he did the surgery in the conventional manner he would sever a nerve and I would be left with no feeling in the knee on the left side of the incision. With the ostioscopic surgery that nerve would not have been severed and had he told me before the surgery I would have gone that route. He did the surgery and made $9K on it. I have syatica and had already lost the feeling in the same leg from hip to above the knee and now the feeling is gone to below the knee. The doctor was aware of this and still failed to mention he would sever a nerve. Do I have a case against the doctor?
