What is the name of your state? AZ (Pima County)

Here's the deal... I was pulled over the other day for "Failing to Obey TCD." The officer told me I pulled into the left turn lane too soon. Here's the problem, there's no way I COULD get into the left turn lane too soon as there is a median there. It was in a construction area and there were pylons on the outside of the turn lane about 20 feet apart from each other. There were no signs on the road such as "Begin turn lane" or "Detour (with an arrow pointing in whichever direction)." There was only a sign in the middle of the median..."Left Lane Must Turn Left." In addition to that...

- The officer didn't write my SSN on the ticket.
- The officer didn't have me sign my ticket.
- The court date on my ticket is Saturday, 11/20/2004 @ 8:30am.

Would I be able to fight this $115 ticket, or would it be a better bet to just attend defensive driving for $125? Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
LordBA

My opinion...if money isn't the issue take defensive driving....if thats alot of money to you...like me...gotta love college eh.....I'd fight it....go asap and take pictures proving everything you say. Bring some one with you and let them stand in on the pictures so that they can verify the date the pictures where taken....I once had a judge say that the pictures my friend took with me in them didn't look like they were taken in winter because I was wearing shorts....I always wear shorts...except to court......but anyways don't leave any questions for the judge open is my point...the prosecutor will think of almost everything so you have to outsmart him. Good luck Jason

Thanks Jason.

The problem is that the construction is over, and the street's back to normal. Defensive Driving it is, I guess.

Any chance you can tell those construction workers to come to Texas and do construction work over here? When we start construction it stays that way for atleast two years.....but yea defensive drivkng might be the best way out....
