ny-im going thru pretty much the same thing-my twin daughters father ahsnt paid support or contacted them since last summer.i dont have the time or money to keep dragging him into court.it is a bit hard for him to see them,he lives in minnesota,im in ny,but at least he could pick up the phone and call,or write them or something.ive never kept him from contacting the girls,he just chooses not to,which is sad.i guess his gf is more important then his daughters.oh well.its his loss.thank goodness i have a husband who loves them, and treats them like theyre his own daughters.he wants to adopt them, and im for it.good luck, and let us know how it goes.btw, happy early birthday.haley!

Let's not start with the men bashing. That is another forum I'm almost sure.

yes some men are jerks

then they need to stand up and take responsiblity for their kids instead of being "sperm donors"ive seeen to many posts here where the fathers arent taking responsibilty. we didnt make the babies by ourselves,we shouldnt have to support them by ourselves.i guess you never watch maury, huh?

Maury? You are referencing that show? What about the women that make it hard for fathers to see their kids.

The first thing I think of when I think of "Maury" is how foolish and skanky the women on that show look when they try and try to find a father via paternity testing.

"HE'S the father! I'm sure of it! He's the only one!"

Test result: Not the father.

"Oh, yeah! The other guy! HE'S the father! I'm sure of it"

Test result: Not the father.

And on and on and on...

I don't feel I make it diffiult for him to see haley, I am willing to work around any schedule just so she can know her father. When she grows up she can make the choice between whether she wants to continue seeing him or not but right now he's not giving her the chance. As I have said before he has 3 other children that he sees every weekend and with her he doesn't bother. I am with a man now that takes care of her and loves he like his own. He actually brought up that he wants to adopt her, I don't want to push anything because haley is so young but I feel that if her father isn't going to have anything to do with her now then most likely he won't when she's older. If he doesn't care enough to see her now then who says he's gonna care enough later to start seeing her again? I guess there is just no guarantee on anything. Either way I feel like I'm screwed. I just don't want to fail my daughter any more than I already have.
