I am so fed up right now! My ex husband brought some random girl to spend the weekend with him and the kids for his parenting time three weeks ago, they had never met her before. Now, he apparently met a different girl about two weeks ago that he plans on bringing to see the kids this next weekend.

I could care less who he is dating, or what he does in his personal life, that is not the issue. I just threw that in to show just the last month. He brings a different girlfriend with him just about every couple weeks-month or so.

The issue is I started getting text messages on my cell phone yesterday from my ex-husbands cell phone. At first they started out as basically hate messages to me, I got approx. 15 of them total. They got worse and more vile by the message, you really wouldn't believe the horrible stuff that was being sent to me attacking me personally and calling me EVERY horrible discusting thing possible.

The last several text messages recieved from ex's phone it was disclosed that it was his NEW girlfriend of TWO weeks sending these to me. She apparently pretended to be him in the beginning, then made sure to disclose it was her in the last ones. By the things she said, it was VERY obvious ex was sitting right there and allowing her to do this. I still can't believe it.

Is there ANYTHING I can do about this?

You could ignore them.
You could delete the message.
You could change your phone number.

ETA: You can EASILY change your phone number and then get a disposable cell phone. Use the disposable cell phone for contact with the ex. That way, your main phone isn't affected.

you can block your text messages. you can block his number from your cell phone.

daddy is allowed to have friends. different friends every day of the week. unless he is doing something inappropriate in front of them...

Thanks for the responses:D

I only threw that in for some background, I know he can do whatever he wants with the kids on his time, thats not the issue at all.

I understand I can delete the messages. I can't block Dads number from my phone, I would think I would get in trouble from the judge for doing that (I don't have a home phone)

I don't know if every one of the messages were typed by her, I know for sure a lot of them were. She was pretending to be him, sending them from HIS phone to my phone. It's really discusting and vile the things that were sent to me, from the kids DADS phone.

Thanks again though, I'm just really frustrated right now. This was completely unexpected.

You could really get their goats by pretending you never even saw them.

You see, right now those messages are doing exactly what they intended them to do. You have given these idiots power.

You act as if the messages never existed and you've taken away their power.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately that is my only phone right now and I really can't afford to get another one. Because it is my only phone I don't think I can change my number and not allow Dad to have it.

..

I know that is not possible on my phone or from my service provider. I wish is was but it isn't.

anyway, copy out the messages along with date and time info for proof should the messages continue or they get worse.

I would simply ignore them at this time other than that.

Yep, It's not possible on mine either...wish it was :D

It appears that most of the vile messages were written and sent by him, if she sent ALL of them then she was pretending to be him. She only disclosed in the last ones that it was her. The sad thing is that it is VERY obvious he must have been sitting right there allowing this to happen. I would think that shows some REALLY poor judgement on his part.

look at it this way....if dad changes girlfriends every week..then that one will be gone very shortly too!

personally, i'm a bit of a trouble maker...so once i have found out that the girlfriend was the one texting, i would have said something stupid along the lines of "so ur g/f 2 this week?" "make sure he pays the bill b4 he moves on 2 the nxt 1".

Now that is funny:D I don't want to have ANY contact with her though, I just don't want to go there. I just can't believe the messages I got!

I have another question, different issue

I have another question that has to do with a completely different issue. Should I post it here, or start a different thread for it. Just want to make sure, thanks!

Or something along the lines of...

"You didn't sleep with him, did you? Do you have an excellent doctor?"
