Two questions. I am filing chapter 7 using debtor aid.com for my paper work. does anyone know if they are reputable. also i have a gateway charge acct that i used to by a computer. is this dischargeable. will they try to come after my computer that took a dump on me a year ago that i scrapped in the trash. also could this affect my auto insurance rates at all i use state farm.

Never heard of debtor aid but what are they providing you with? If it's just the forms then that would be a rip off.

Your Gateway account is dischargable (I had them too). They will NOT attempt to collect your computer.

Yes, unfortunately State Farm does pull credit reports to use in factoring in their rates so your rates could go up. Luckily, our insurance provider (Farmers) hasn't changed our account pricing yet. I'm still waiting to see if they do anything. If you are concerned I do know that American Family does NOT pull credit reports for insurance purposes.

Farmers will pull your credit & your rates will rise. But after much discussion with my agent, I finally got it back down where I could afford it.
