Family ties are taken into consideration in a hotly contested jusrisdiction battle. All involved judges iindicated this was a factor when other issues balanced. It's too long to go into, but went to the hightest MD court. Each new round required a list of family members in each state. AND, in the end, it shook out to honoring the 6-month residency.
