 What is the name of your state?Florida
I was stoped for a brake light out, I was driving a car in my husbands name on an expired license (expires over 2 years) I was arrested, then they searched my car and found a roach (canabas) in the glovebox in a pill bottle. I did not know it was there. They added that to my charges. I have an arraignment for May 9th. I have never been arrested before. I need to know what can happen at the arraignment. worst case. will I go to jail that day? What are my possible fines ( or where can i go to find that out) and do I need a public attorney. we have no idea what attorneys cost we had a hard time coming up with the bond to begin with. we do not know if we can afford an attorney. by the way dont they have to read you your rights? I know I was a little freaked out..alot, but I do not remember them reading my rights and asking me if I understand them.

If you can't afford an attorney one will be appointed to you. Reading Miranda Rights is only required in the event that they question or interrogate you with the likelihood that your admission or response could be used to determine your guilt. Whether or not you will go to jail depends on the judge and the actual charges.
