florida deed problems with tenancy language

florida quitclaim deed from my uncle's girlfriend to my uncle and his girlfriend says "JT In Common"; my counsins do not want long legal battle if problem; their understanding was that uncle and girlfriend would each own half; doesn't florida presume TIC?? help.

**A: go get the deed and type exactly what the tenancy in the deed states; word for word.
JT in Common is not a tenancy.

that is exactly what the deed says: "JT In Common"; uncle loved to play his hand at all sorts of job positions, including lawyer, and prepared the deed himself for him and the lady friend.

florida deed problems need help asap

anyone have any ideas? my cousin is trying to deal with the black widow girlfriend and her son; will the "JT In Common" language pose a problem? does florida presume TIC? - especially with the screwy language on the deed?HELP!

**A: in my opinion, the courts would deem the tenancy to be tenants in common but I see a big fight brewing. And the parties should seek legal counsel.
