Nope - refer back to my post where I pointed out that one can (and should) shift to a lower gear. Heck, it's even in your owner's manual.

One does not have to "brake suddenly" in order to slow down.

Perhaps you need to attend a defensive driving course in order to learn the skills required to be a safe driver...

let me spell this out for you. I was doing fine driving. I do not shift to a lower gear to go down a hill when i will be exceeding 40mph and there were people riding my ass> i assure i know how to break. If i take your advice then i still get the ticket for speeding as trying to maintain exactly 45mph while driving down a steep hill is hard thats why cops dont pull you over for going a few miles over. I was doing 10 over down a hill. Its pretty common. The origional question which you have said nothing about is should cops be able to hide to get people speeding please comment to that

It's not about braking, it's about controlling your speed. If you do not understand the various ways to cause your vehicle to travel slower, then you need to educate yourself.
