My father got a patent for DEMOUNTABLE AND REUSABLE SHIPPING CARTON in 1970. He died shortly thereafter from cancer, and I have just now been able to find his patent. Do I have any rights to his patent? This is a product that is used world wide today.
The company that I worked for 35 years " ENRONED " my pension, so any extra income would help me now.

A patent filed in the 70's would only have been enforceable for 17 years from the date of issue, so if the patent issued in 1970, it would have expired in 1987. No patent that issued in the 70's is still enforceable.
