Why would a thread all of a sudden lock? I don't get that it happened to one of mine a couple months back, but since I was the last poster on the thread that just closed I was curious if it was something I said, which upon a second reading I understand it was controversial but I still stand by it. Just wondering if any one could tell me what closes the threads?

If you didn't lock it then an admin did. I had it happen to me on a thread in open issues and still have no idea why it was locked. I imagine if someone complains about the content then they (an admin) will either lock it or delete it.

Well I can't imagine anyone complaining about the content, but I guess I will never know. My thread turned out he same way a while ago and I just took the advice I had received to that point and it actually has worked out we will see on the 28th, my fiance has a hearing to get sole custody, we have has temp sole since Aug. 20th.

Thank you Smurfeelaw, since it was my thread that was locked, whether it was intentional or not, I haven't a clue. Thank you for your input, you were right dead on. There has never been any physical discipline whatsoever by the stepparant in my house. As to the two others who so vehemently disagreed, you have every right to your so called opinion, however may I suggest you ask for clarification of an issue before you decide to cyberchoke someone who has come here just asking advice? I was asked, after my 2nd post to keep my topics together, one person quoted me from another post that I had already responded to days ago and I doubt they even bothered to read farther down to the most current post I was asking advice for. Only one post actually gave me any legal information that I asked for. And I am appreciative of that. It's sad when the legally impaired people on this board get treated like that. I guess trolls live everywhere, not just under bridges...
