What is the name of your state? Utah

** Today I got a visit from my landlord. Me and my roommates have been living in the house for a year now and have never signed a lease or any form of contract. This was the first visit within the year and we got the threat that she might kick us out May 1. Today is April 22. We are late on rent, but is this sufficient time or legally acceptable for her to do this without giving us an eviction notice. And if not, whats the time frame for her to kick us out?

Utah requires a three day notice to be served for non payment of rent.

So ... three days is legally acceptable for the LL to demand that you move, once the notice has been properly served.

3-day notice, have you tried paying your rent that normaly helps avoid such problems.

It is not legaly acceptable to live in someones home with a bunch of mates for free.

You mean mates as in "english" mates, or mates as in female mates? I'd much rather have the latter too!
