texas...In September 2006 I bought a new ford f 150 pickup. I drove it 3000 miles and it began to take off uncontrollably when I excelerated and would not stop untill I would hit the brakes. I brought it back to dealer where I bought it and they kept it a week and told me they could not find anything wrong..I took it and less than a week later it did it again,,,and again. I brought it back to them and they could not find a problem. they installed a monitor and told me if it did it again to push this button...it did it three times and I mashed the button all three times. I brought it to them and they said it did not show anything.
I would not drive this thing because it was going to kill me or someone else...I voluntarily surrendered the vehicle. stopped payment. After a while i started getting calls from a collection agent saying I owed them 12000.00..They still call me daily.
They (ford )have my tradein on that deal,,they have the truck in question and they have money I put down on deal... My question is, can I be sewed by this collection agency? Can they stack up interest on the original amount?
What type of lawyer do I get with this case? I have the letter of surrender and any asscociated paper work involved in the deal..Please respond.
I dont care what happens too my credit since I am older, retired with a disability retirement. I just dont want to give Ford anymore money since I was ripped on the deal.
