Yes, I plan on being involved. I have been sending her money and gone to see the child twice since he was born. I live states away. In a couple months I will be placed anywhere across the country with my job. If I'm paying a substantial amount in CS and live halfway across the country it will be hard for me to be real involved. This is due to distance and financial restraints. This whole situation started from a one night stand.

Missouri Gal - Yes, that's exactly my point... 9B excludes the requirement for the father's SSN. So, it is definitely NOT necessary for the mother to tell him she has to have it to get a SS card for the child.
