Divona, since you're relatively new here, you might not know. We call that the OG Effect, OG Phenomenon, OG Factor;). It is named after our own OhioGal.

The OP will get advice he doesn't like and then posts back in no time at all that they've gotten advice from an attorney and been taken care of in the manner they wanted.

Ooh, I do know :D I greatly enjoy reading OG's posts.

...and reading posters who claim they got it fixed/made it all better/they were right all along...

...(almost four years here and I'm still new? OK, just poking fun at'cha)

Very full of yourselves here I see

I'm simply fascinated with the responses I have gotten here. No real information which helped me with the situation, so I went to take car of the situation in the only way I knew how. I was successful in my dealings and secured a deal that eveyone was happy with**************except for those that responded to my post!

Where I appreciate attempts of help by those of you that genuinely endeavored to do so, I see more pompous attitudes and delusions of grandeur than I saw any meaningful help by most. Reading other postings I noticed a pattern of this holier than thou attitude on many of the responses. Might I ask, do you guys and gals that provide legal assistance for free on this board resent doing so? If so, why waste your time? Demeaning people for their lack of expertise in a field they did not study for six years or more does not make them stupid, just not educated in that particular field.

I had more negative responses because I resolved the issue and was even scoffed at and called a liar. What's with that?

I did note some great responses from some of you on other threads that I really respected, but on the other hand, still a lot of smug attitudes by some. Is this reflective of the desires of the owner of this website?

To those of you that really tried I appreciate it! The others of you that are just here to insult, well, you know who you are and probably what you are too!

Thank's anyway.

Feel free to explain why an out-of-business car dealer agreed to re-negotiate a loan.

Feel free to explain why the bank who held the loan ( and paid the dealer the full amount of the purchase price ) would feel obligated to reduce the loan in order to satisfy someone's buyer's remorse... 6 months after the fact.

There is a good reason people doubt your veracity. You can claim whatever you want online, but your own words conflict with reality.

Nobody knew how much they paid for the vehicle 6 months ago? Y'all waited until the vehicle wasn't driveable to decide to gripe about the cost? Sure. That makes sense. Of course, after waiting 6 months to complain, your solution came in less than 24 hours ? Simply amazing talent you've got. Let's put you in charge of the Government's budget problem.

You might be held in esteem by the ignorant women in your family, but we see right through you.

The bank gave be different numbers than my daughter gave me.She produced the paperwork and I saw the Warranty was not up. Simply put.....they lied!

You made that judgement after 1 thread? You're a Whiz!

I just threatened them with a lawsuit and some bad media coverage on the local news.

Like I said, you're a whiz! Unfortunately for you, you are wrong.

Like I said. the problem is solved, no need for you to fret about it. You have a problem with that? And who's "we?"

I don't know why you're so determined to convince us you're not lying, but the more you try the more absurd your story gets.

I went to an afilliate.

BS. If it's another branch or sister location of the original seller, the "dealership" wouldn't be out of business. If it's a different franchise that represents the same manufacturer they're not at all responsible for anything the original seller did--especially not financially--and they'd tell you to go climb your thumb.

They're not going to talk to you about somebody else's loan.

I just threatened them with a lawsuit and some bad media coverage on the local news.

This is one of the first things people do when they're dissatisfied with a merchant. "I'll go to the MEDIA!!" as if that's going to put the fear of God into them. If "the media" cared as much as people seem to think they will, the evening news would have to be twice as long. Plus, the ones that do have those "On Your Side" type segments are interested in businesses that are actually ripping off customers. They don't care about some nitwit who doesn't know how to negotiate. Hey, how about going to "the media" to warn them about your daughter who took advantage of her poor old vulnerable Grandma?

Absurd, huh? You're correct, you don;t know why?

Same Family. Ever hear of that? It's a recession and they cut their losses.

I berated my daughter, She was WRONG....PERIOD! That does not mean I should abandon them both though. You can think whatever you want to. BTW I have a close friend that works at a Milwaukee area TV station and she happens to run its consumer reporting division. Name dropping does have its advantages. That bad publicity was not desired by the Dealership especially as it is a small town Dealership. Further, I hate liars and I hate even more being called one by someone that does not even know me. This issue is resolved!

OK - now you've got an way out of your mess. Tell your adult daughter to sue the bad banker who disclosed her financial information to a 3rd party.

Yeah. Sure.

"Hi, Station Manager? This is the Consumer Reporting Division. I have a friend whose daughter made a boneheaded deal on a car and suckered her poor grandmother into financing it. The dealership didn't do anything illegal, but my friend's mad about it so I'm going to use some of our really expensive air time to harrass the dealership. Well, not the actual dealership because they're out of business. I mean another dealership that's not even the one that made the deal. Okay? Okay, thanks, bye."

If that's true (which it's not), it won't be long before you're referring to her as your friend who used to work at a Milwaukee TV station.
